Its Diwali time when we are in Gangtok , on 6th November 2018 . Upon reaching Gangtok we checked in the Hotel Silverline , a five to six minutes walk from the M G Marg , Not quite tough to find this property . Hotel was chained with Diyas , making it even more charming . Indeed a mid sized hotel but if you compare the facilities they are offering against the price that is too good . And the position is itself praiseworthy , just a few minutes walk form the heart of the town . We stayed in room no 301 , nice room though a little small for we three , but quite clean and we are there not to sit idle in the room . The bed has fitted we three . Bathroom is quite nice , only if they have the geyser operating switch in the bathroom , it would be fine . Staffs are mostly from Bengal so not problem of communication . And its worthy to mention about the manager , Mrinal Ghosh , a very well behaved and polite person always has a smiling face and ready to help you . He is the key person of this hotel . Such a nice guy he is ! So it was very very nice stay in Hotel Silverline and I will be very happy to stay here once again . Thank you all , have a great vacation .

We stayed here for 3 nights during our North Sikkim and East Sikkim trip. Overall the hotel was exactly what we looked for. It was in budget as well as very near to MG Marg walking distance like 2-4 minutes down the lane. The staff were polite and welcoming. Rooms and bathroom were neat and clean well, furnished with all required amenities. Would definately recommend if someone is looking for a descent hotel in budget.

The hotel is just ok. Some limited view from windows, room ok, food on order, staff good and cordial, decor is below average, hot water available, credit card payments may not be available, cleanship average, not very close to Mall but short walk and steps will take you to Mall. No place for taxi/personal car to park,tripple bedded room is still little big but double room are really small, toilets big and spacious with hot water on demand. Room service available. Intercoms are switched off by staff at night (intentionally) that causes problem in contacting them/mng tea.

Filthiest room and very rude behavior by the room service. No service available after 10:30pm and very rude behavior was experienced when bell was rung for service. Food is also not available all the time. Only fixed time for food supply.

This hotel comes at a great price point and a great location (5 minute walk from M G Marg). However, being a budget hotel, it would be advisable to keep one's expectations about service quality, amenities and views at a modest level. The hotel doesn't have hot water all the time, and the controls to the geyser are with the management. The bedding is just about fine. Though the rooms are present from 2nd floor onwards, there is no view as the hotel is surrounded by other buildings.
